Responsibilities

  • Analyze drawings and specifications

  • Prepare, review and submit accurate cost estimates and proposals in a timely manner

  • Understand scope of work to bid as well as contractual terms and obligations

  • Prepare clear and detailed take offs from architectural drawings

  • Prepare detailed scope of work

  • Manage bid pricing from vendors

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors

  • Work closely with internal operations

  • Meet all deadlines given

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimating

  • Experience reading architectural plans and developing cost estimates

  • Experience with MERX, WCA updates and tender postings

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Quick Bid, Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
