INSPECTOR
Position Summary
The Inspector assesses commercial flat roofing systems and collects accurate field data for clear, client-ready roof condition reports. This role reviews leak and work history, identifies maintenance, repair, or replacement needs, verifies completed work, and coordinates closely with Sales, Administration, and Operations.

Review leak and work history related to inspection locations.
Inspect commercial flat roofing systems to determine condition, life expectancy, and required maintenance, repair, or replacement.
Provide pricing for maintenance, repair, and replacement requirements.
Update existing drawings and submit required changes to the draftsperson.
Create clear roof sketches for new inspection locations and submit them to the draftsperson.
Verify completed work, ensuring projects have executed to manufacturer and MJ’s standards.
Work with Sales and Administration to deliver accurate roof condition reports on time.
Review approved work and provide accurate handoff details for Operations.
Assist Operations with leak investigation and repair during high volume periods.
Mentor field teams and provide constructive feedback based on inspection findings.
Meet all reporting and project deadlines.

FLAT ROOFING FOREMAN
Position Summary
The Flat Roofing Foreman leads commercial flat roofing crews through safe, efficient, high-quality installation, repair, and replacement work. This role oversees daily job site operations, coordinates with project managers, ensures work meets specifications and safety standards, and mentors crew members.

Supervise and lead commercial flat roofing crews.
Plan daily work activities to meet project schedules.
Install, repair, and replace TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, and Built-Up roofing systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
Inspect work to ensure company and manufacturer standards are met.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Train and mentor crew members in roofing techniques and safe work practices.
Communicate progress, material needs, and challenges to the project manager.
Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and job site logistics.
Maintain a clean, organized, professional job site.
Complete daily reports, timesheets, and required documentation.

2+ years leading commercial flat roofing crews; 5+ years flat roofing experience preferred.
Proven experience installing and repairing commercial flat roofing systems.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Strong knowledge of roofing systems & materials, installation methods, and manufacturer specifications.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards and safe roofing practices.

FLAT ROOFING LABOURER
Position Summary
The Flat Roofing General Labourer supports the roofing crew in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial flat roofing systems. This role involves assisting skilled roofers with daily job site activities, handling materials and equipment, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and performing physical labour in a variety of weather conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the roofing and construction industry.

Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of commercial flat roofing systems.
Load, unload, move, and organize roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
Prepare roofs and job sites for roofing work.
Remove existing roofing materials and dispose of debris safely.
Operate hand tools and power tools under the direction of experienced crew members.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including fall protection requirements.
Assist with setting up and dismantling ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and to quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor.

Previous construction or roofing experience is considered an asset but is not required.
